    i got an acer 5738G . i installed win 7 and evrything is good except for the dvd rom. It disappears as soon as i remove the dvd . i tried regedit …but cudnt find upperfilters in that currentcontrolset /class ….. any1 got any suggestions

    Hi, I have Acer 5738G and would like to know if all the drivers should be installed or only optional why are there two/three drivers for particular applications 3G, Bluetooth, Touchpad, Wireless has so many?!, and also some drivers are not working on XP64-bit saying you should be running Vista or XP and for graphics it says not supported Fingerprint too does not install : ( Please make some Win XP Pro 64-bit working drivers available. Thanks appreciate the help…

    Hi, there are some differences between 5738G Series. eg. your 5738G maybe use Atheros Wireless or Intel Wireless or Ralink Wireless. you need to kown about your laptop pcs. you can try to installed one of the drivers. i will update some winxp 64-bit drivers.Welcome to laptop-software.com

    hi i recently purchased an acer 5738 aspire laptop without the OS. I installed XP and then i installeed ur authentec finger print driver but to no use. where am i getting it wrong? please help me. send me the instructions to use the utility.

    Hi, I have an acer 5738g aspire and I installed XP (dual boot with vista) but win xp only works when AHCI is DISABLED through BIOS (actually, in IDE mode). I have downloaded intel’s AHCI driver but it won’t install..I suppose this happens because when I am in XP my hard disk already works as IDE and it is not recognized by the OS, therefore intel’s driver says that my system doesn’t meet the requirements! Is there any way to bypass this and install the driver so that XP will work with AHCI enabled?

    HI,
    I have faced with the same probelm as “samas” on my Acer Aspire 5738ZG using Win XP SP3. Wi-Fi is not working. I have also tryed all three wirelles drivers from http://www.acer.com. No results. Wi-Fi buttoon is not active at all and it woun’t activate by pushing it.

    Hi there, after i download the ATI dreiver for my acer 5738G seems working fine
    But when i run any game and close the game, the resolution go down to 640*480 and colors go down to 8 bit !!!
    Any solution ??!!!

    Hey guys)) I have recently purchased acer aspire 5738g with Windows Vista. I experience issues with internet connection because the wi fi seems like working but it actually does not load any web-pages. If I click repear it, the system shows that there is a problem with DNS and adaptors. Does any one know what could cause this problem? Thanks

    in my laptop i just try to install new os by formatting c drive also but that disk is currepted and installation stopped at midlle

    I install the modem and dial.
    I can’t connect to internet.
    He tell me to change the network setting.

    hey admin.. i got an acer aspire 5738zg laptop.. my wireless is on but it cant detect any wireless network.
    even my home network.. it used to work before but nw its not.
    wat could have happened???
